Location and maps
Pengwern Boat Club is located in the town park - The Quarry. This is best approached from the west of the town via the old A5 by-pass and very near Shrewsbury School.
Directions to the club
By foot
If you start in the center of Shrewsbury town, simply walk down to the river. Follow the path around the quarry and either go over Kingsland Bridge or by river taxi by the Suspension Bridge by the Boat House Inn (the bridge is currently closed undergoing repairs until July 20th 2012). Then follow the path towards the boat house on the far side of the river from the town. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the club from the town center.
Parking
The club has ample parking right next to the club house.
During the Regatta - this carpark is closed off for boat trailers. Instead you will find ample parking by the river just off the Kingsland Road - look out for regatta carparking signs.
