River Level
To avoid an unnecessary trip to the club, only to find the river level has made it impossible, or that you've brought rowing kit to an inevitable ergo session, it's worth having a quick look at the river level. The Environment Agency have an online river monitoring station which can be found by clicking on the link here.
The general rule of thumb at our club is that anything over 2.0 metres is unrowable, above 1.70m would be something to think about for inexperienced crews. Watch out for debris in the river if it is on its way up or has been high for a few days.
