Pengwern Boat Club

June 2008 Special Notice

The Pengwern Boat Club is about to start a significant  extension to the building that will take until the end of 2008 to complete. This will improve significantly both the boating and function facilities at the club and is the first such expansion for many years.

However during the building phase it will not be possible to hire out the club so regrettably we will not be taking any more bookings for 2008.

In 2009 we will have even better facilities and hope that you will consider the Pengwern Boat Club as the venue for your functions.

PRIVATE FUNCTIONS

Pengwern Boat Club's clubhouse is available for hire!

Set in an attractive and secluded river-side location opposite the Quarry park in Shrewsbury, the clubhouse represents an excellent venue for all sorts of private and corporate functions.

Suitable purposes include:

• wedding receptions
• birthday parties
• corporate parties
• mini-conferences/meetings
• and other similar activities

Our facilities include:

• private bar (capacity of 80)
• dining area/dance floor
• extensive balcony overlooking the river and Quarry park
• private lawns (can accommodate marquee of 40ft x 40ft or 12m x 12m)
• kitchen facilities
• private car park
