Pengwern Boat Club, founded in 1871, is located in Shrewsbury Town Centre, Shropshire, in a picturesque river-side setting. The current clubhouse was built in 1881 and is undoubtedly one the most attractive in the UK.

The club had some great results at Stourport over the weekend with an emphatic win for our Junior Quad.

Congratulations to our MasE/F/G/H Hcap.8+ who won their division at the Dee Autumn Head this weekend by 17 seconds. In all, six VIIIs and two singles took part in the two divisions.

On the weekend of the 8th of October the Pengwern Expeditionary Force took three 8+s down to Paris to compete in the National a huit on the Marne river.

Mike Thomas is hurling himself out of a plane in order to raise money for Hope House, he only gets a parachute if he raises at least £500. He has pinned a sponsorship form to the noticeboard in the committee room if you would like to sponsor him
